We know the decision to enroll your student in a school that charges tuition is a major financial commitment. It represents a serious investment, but one that will pay dividends over a lifetime: in higher education, in a fulfilling career, and most of all, in a life of purpose and meaning. Parents who are concerned about the cost of attendance should not hesitate to inquire about options to make a Routt education affordable for your family.

Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $4,900

Each student is required to pay an annual non-refundable fee cost of $400.

The fees cover: technology, textbooks, and admission to all games, plays and musical performances. Additional sport/club fees are added as each program deems necessary.

Routt provides general tuition assistance based on income and ability to pay. Families apply for tuition assistance through the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment tool on our FACTS website. Click here to visit the FACTS site or call FACTS at (866) 441-4637.

Routt has been the benefactor of generous donations, primarily from individual estates or memorial gifts from family and friends establishing endowed accounts with the Routt Education Foundation to provide tuition support for students. The Routt Education Foundation invests these gifts and the interest is returned to the school to provide tuition assistance to families who qualify. Need-based scholarships are awarded through the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment tool on our FACTS website.

In addition to these need-based scholarships, there are merit or essay-based scholarships available.

Tuition assistance and scholarships are awarded in May.

Routt participates in the Scrip program sponsored by Our Saviour School, which allows families to purchase gift certificates to popular retailers (Walmart, Target, Applebee’s, etc. in Jacksonville, Springfield and surrounding areas). Each Scrip gift certificate is purchased at full price; however, OSS receives a rebate for each purchase. Fifty percent of the school’s rebate may be applied as credit towards a Routt student’s tuition. The purchaser may apply the total in their account to a student or school organization for the next school year. Click here to sign up for Script.

Families may also claim the Education Expense Credit on Illinois tax forms to recover up to $500 of the expense of providing education. Tuition and fees are eligible expenses.

What do you mean by “faith-based” education?

Central to a Routt education are faith-based values, with a focus on Catholic faith formation and service to others. Theology class, service requirements and daily school-wide prayer provide opportunity for students to reflect on personal identity and their roles in the Church and their broader communities. Beyond taking four years of theology, Routt’s academic and extracurricular pursuits are centered on faith and prayer. Students attend mass regularly and retreats provide faith-based experiences outside the classroom.

Before a transfer student may begin the enrollment process, the student and parent/guardian are strongly encouraged to interview in-person with Routt administration and engage in a school and campus tour.
